First record of the subfamily Trichomyiinae Tonnoir, 1922 and genus Trichomyia Haliday in Curtis, 1839 (Diptera, Psychodidae) in China, with the description of a new extant species

The subfamily Trichomyiinae Tonnoir, 1922 and the genus Trichomyia Haliday in Curtis, 1839 are recorded for the first time in China. A new species, Trichomyia sinensis sp. nov., is described, and photographs of an in situ adult male and its habitat are provided. An updated key to Trichomyia species from the Palearctic and Oriental regions is presented.
