Five new species of Cranopygia (Dermaptera, Pygidicranidae) from South China

Five new species of the genus Cranopygia Burr, 1908 are described and illustrated from South China: Cranopygia kongqueshana sp. nov., Cranopygia lisu sp. nov., Cranopygia longibifurcata sp. nov., and Cranopygia shidianensis sp. nov. from Yunnan Province, and Cranopygia liuhuaishana sp. nov. as the first generic provincial record from Guangxi Province. These species are characterized by unique combinations of external morphological and male genital structures. Diagnostic characters, detailed illustrations, and a distribution map of these new species are provided. A provisional key to the Chinese species of Cranopygia is also presented based on male morphology.
