A new fern species, Cyrtomium lacrimipinnum (Dryopteridaceae), is described and illustrated from limestone ridges of Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park, central Vietnam. It is most similar to C. pachyphyllum in having lateral pinnae with deeply cordate bases but is distinguished by its pinnae with acute and attenuate apices (vs. obtuse) and the presence of black or dark brown microscales on both surfaces of the pinnae (vs. confined to the abaxial surface). Spore counts of 64 per sporangium suggest a sexual reproductive mode.
