An annotated catalogue of the Simuliidae (Diptera) type specimens housed in the Simuliidae Collection of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (CSIOC) is presented, comprising 350 primary types and 235 secondary types, totalling 585 type specimens in 282 lots. Additionally, information on 88 specimens with unclear type status is also included in the present work. The catalogue covers 34 nominal species, representing approximately 34.5% of the known Simuliidae fauna in Brazil, as well as 12 species currently regarded as junior synonyms. Data on nomenclature, taxonomic classification, type status, preservation methods and taxonomic remarks are provided. In addition, 15 figures illustrate the conservation status of 28 primary type specimens from species described by Adolpho Lutz and César Pinto.
