Revision of the species of Acanthocnema Becker from Nepal, Myanmar and Yunnan, China, with notes on Acerocnema Becker (Diptera, Anthomyiidae, Scathophaginae)

The species of Acanthocnema Becker, 1894 from Nepal, Myanmar and Yunnan, China are revised, including new illustrations of A. himalaica Suwa, 1986 and the description of two new species: A. malaisei sp. nov. and A. pictipennis sp. nov. All species are illustrated, distributions mapped and an identification key to species is presented. In addition, Lubomyia Šifner, 2010 is proposed as a junior synonym of Acerocnema Becker, 1894, syn. nov., giving the new combination Acerocnema orientalis (Šifner), comb. nov. This species is redescribed and illustrated.
