In this contribution, we present the first annotated catalogue of type material deposited at the Crustacea collection of the Museum of Nature Hamburg, Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change. This catalogue covers the entire type collection (525 lots, 10,493 specimens) of the order Cumacea, representing 139 nominal species and subspecies, including holotypes, allotypes, paratypes, and syntypes. The type material includes members of the families Bodotriidae, Diastylidae, Gynodiastylidae, Lampropidae, Leuconidae, and Nannastacidae. Species are listed in alphabetical order, with references to the original descriptions, accepted names, remarks, a brief diagnosis, and the current distribution of the species. In addition to the types, we provide a concise overview of all Cumacea material (2,250 lots) deposited in the Crustacea collection, comprising 67 genera and 341 species and subspecies from the aforementioned families, as well as material belonging to the Ceratocumatidae and Pseudocumatidae. This fully validated, publicly available collection (https://collections.leibniz-lib.de) is offered to the scientific community by the Leibniz Association and the LIB collections as part of our long-term research infrastructure.
